VW Show

While I went to the RS General Broadcast last night Bo and Porter went to a VW show. We thought this pic. turned out great!

Ice Cream City!!!

Bo's company held its annual picnic yesterday. We had an amazing time! We went on a train ride, hay ride, saw ducks, saw ponies, and all kinds of fun stuff! Porter's favorite part was that all of the ice cream, hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, and drinks were free. He kept going back to the ice cream truck. As you can tell from some of the pics - by the end of the day he was certainly sticky!!!!

Playgroup

My new calling is sure keeping me busy. As part of one of our enrichment activities we have a playgroup each week. This picture was taken by one of the Sisters in our ward and I think it is just too cute!

Sick anyone?

So Porter did not have the flu - he had two horrible ear infections! I broke down and took him to the urgent care clinic on Saturday after I couldn't get his temperature below 103.2 They diagnosed him and put him on some antibiotics. That night (Saturday) my ear started hurting. I kind of blew it off because ear infections aren't contagious and what are the chances? Bad news - that night my ear drum broke. Ouch!!! So on Sunday it was back to urgent care for antibiotics. While I was there Bo called and told me he had poisen ivy. I guess when it rains it pours! Eli has been healthy though - until today - shot time! He seems to being doing fine though and the rest of us are on the mend. However, we may starve because we had to pay five co-pays in the same week. Kidding! Who ever heard of such craziness!

All Smiles

Yesterday Porter came down with the flu and had to go to the doctor. However, Elias was in a great mood and I got some really good pictures of him. He is growing so fast and getting way too big! I put a cute little 3-6 months outfit on him yesterday (it was cold - like 78, so we broke out the long pants) and it didn't even fit - the pants were too short. Today he is wearing a 6-9 months outfit and it fits perfectly! So sad for mommy! Did I mention that he is not quite four months old?

Back in Texas

Life has been a little on the busy side now that we are back in Houston. However, we are really glad to be back home with Bo.
Over Labor Day weekend Bo took Porter fishing with the Smith's. Porter got a new fishing pole a few months ago and had been dying to try it out. Bo's dad took Porter to the store and bought him a new tackle box for the big event.
After fishing we all met up at Bo's parents for a BBQ. Porter always love to play witdh Mathew's guitar. We just thought the picture was cute and thought we'd throw it in for fun!
Did you notice the bandage on Porter's head? Last Sunday evening we were at home and all of the sudden Bo yelled for me. I put the baby down and ran to the bathroom where I found Bo holding Porter's head and there was blodd everywhere. We grabbed some towels, dropped Eli off at the neighbors and went to the ER. The Doctor was fairly sure they were going to have to stitch it and thought it would probably take about 5 or 6 good stitches. However, he wanted to try to glue it first - and it totally worked! So no stitches this time. YEAH!! It is still healing slowly but I think it won't leave too bad of a scar.
